PANAJI: Two under trial prisoners – one rape accused and other murder accused escaped from the state central jail at Colvale today.
The accused are identified as Bhupendra and Hussain. Officials are suspecting that they are hiding within the jail premises informed sources.
The jail inmates are allowed to go around in the open space within the prison premises every evening.
The duo was found missing during the head count done by the jail officials while the inmates were being set back to their cells.
