CALANGUTE: FDA team has commenced late evening inspections on restaurants operating in tourist belt.
15 restaurants were inspected and of which 5 premises were asked to suspend their kitchen operations as there were operating without following the hyginene norms. Others were served improvement notice under FSS Act 2006. It is observed that high end restaurnats are operating under a simple Registration certificate and have not obtained the mandatory FSSAI License. Also food handlers were not having mndatory sanitary cards.Drives will contunue all across the state. The drive was carried out by Richard Noronha Designated officer North Goa Amit mandrekar , Lenin De sa and Sneha Sawant Food safety officers under the guidance of Director FDA Shweta Dessai.
