MARGAO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant told Mr Churchill Alemao, MLA of Benaulim that the vaccination for Goan seafarers would be undertaken from June 1.
Mr Churchill who was the first MLA to start the Tika Utsav drive in Benaulim constituency on April 14 so that the vaccination was available for every citizen at their door step said that he had given the letter for providing vaccination to Goan seafarers on priority basis and also to Goans working in Dubai and London some time ago and that the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant had called him today to inform that his request was granted.
Mr Churchill whilst thanking the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant stated that the seafarers and other Goans working abroad would be considered as frontline workers and provided the facility from Tuesday onwards.
