PANAJI: Vedanta Sesa Goa, Value Added Business (VAB), was recognized for ‘Best Environmental Practices’ under the UNEP theme ‘Land Restoration, Desertification, Drought Resilience’ & focusing on ‘Our Land, Our Future – We are #GenerationRestoration’. The prestigious award was presented at the conclusion of the competition organized by the Goa State Pollution Control Board.
Among a large number of participating entities, six were shortlisted & VAB was eventually adjudged 3rd, with Mrs. Vandita Goltekar, Chief Environment Manager, VAB, having presented the ‘best practices’ adopted by VAB during the event.
The award was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, in a ceremony that brought together industry leaders, environmental experts, and stakeholders to celebrate and promote best practices in environmental conservation.
