VERNA: The Verna police has booked a branch manager of Sada Urban Cooperative Society Ltd for misappropriating funds of the bank for private gains of approx Rs 1.20 cr.
The complaint was filed by Pratosh Lotlikar, General Manager, The Sada Urban Co-op. Credit Society Ltd, Mormugao- Goa.
The police said that the accused has been identified as Uma Nilesh Hondad, 31 yrs , r/o Bainguinim, Old Goa.
The scam came to light during internal audit of the society’s branch at Zuarinagar, Sancoale.
The accused has filed for anticipatory bail. Further investigation is in progress with Prashal P. Naik Dessai, PI, Verna.
