A team of delegates from Michigan State University visited ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa as a part of the United States Department of Agriculture-Scientific Exchange Program Fellowship (USDA-SEP).
Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, highlighted the ongoing research activities at the institute and emphasised the possibility of long-term collaborations between MSU and ICAR-CCARI, visit of scientists to MSU for scientific exposure and interdisciplinary research related to Food-Water-Energy nexus for sustainability in the coastal region.
The delegates delivered a brief presentation about the ongoing research and other activities at Michigan State University. Insightful interaction and discussions were held between the representatives and the scientists regarding possible collaboration-related researchable issues.
The delegates visited the eco-friendly wastewater treatment facility (Jalopchar) and the Biogas unit of the institute. An interaction meeting of delegates with the scientists of the institute was also organised during the programme.
