MAPUSA: The Governor of Goa P. S. Sreedharan Pillai visited El Shaddai Charitable Trust at Assagao Bardez today.
The Governor while addressing, informed that he likes to visit institutes working for the cause of orphan children or old age people and wish to help them.
“We can see God in the eyes of orphan children,” he said.
The people who are working here with dedication for the betterment of children are doing a remarkable job. The stakeholders of El Shaddai are doing yeomen services towards humanity, he said and assured to extend his wholehearted cooperation for such endeavour, for he believes that service to humanity is service to God.
MLA, Joshua DSouza addressing said that many people are craving for help. The Governor’s initiative to help people in their sufferings is inspiring. We couldn’t imagine the grief of those people who suffer from renal disease. They have to undergo dialysis frequently, which is a costly affair and torturous. The final assistance to these people will provide solace to a very great extent, he added.
Fr. Varghese of the Orthodox Church, praising the Governor for being a kind and intellectual person, said his visit to this institute will go a long way to motivate and encourage them to work better, rededicate, and take further the objective of EL Shaddai. He also praised the initiative of the Governor for his efforts towards the welfare of the people.
MLA’s Vinod Palyenkar, Jayesh Salgaonkar also spoke on occasion.
The Governor handed over cheques of financial assistance to Stakeholders of EL Shaddai and three dialysis patients on occasion.

Riya Naik, Secretary to Governor Mihir Vardhan IAS, Deputy Collector Bardez Ms. Mammu Hage IAS, Philanthropist and Businessman Shyam Cuzikala, Head Malayali Samaj, Shri Vasu Nair, Member GIM, Smt.
