VALPOI: The body of an 11th Standard Science student from Baina, who went missing at Sanvordem Waterfall in Sattari during a school-organised trekking programme, was recovered by rescue teams on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Bind, a Science student of Deep Vihar Higher Secondary School at Sada.
Rahul had gone missing while participating in a trekking programme organised by the school at Sanvordem Waterfall in Sattari. Following the incident, forest officials, police, fire personnel and other rescue agencies launched an extensive search operation to trace him.
After several hours of search efforts, rescue teams recovered the student’s body from the waterfall area.
