Goa continued to add fatalities to the COVID19 figures as one 29 year old man from Chimbel succumbed to the virus.
On Monday, the State saw 196 COVID19 positive cases with 143 recoveries..
The victim today was a 29 years old male from Chimbel, who was admitted at ESI COVID hospital Margao with co-morbid condition, succumbed to the virus.
Earlier, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane held a meeting to review preparedness and testing facilities at GMC in presence of Dr. Bandekar (Dean-GMC), Smt. Trupti B. Manerkar (Under Secretary-Health), Dr Savio (HOD-Microbiology) & Dr Wiesman & Dr Mallya.
“I have given necessary instruction to the team to review screening facilities at GMC for all the patients entering the premises whether they are symptomatic or asymptomatic. We further discussed proposing for another TrueNat testing facility to add on to existing facilities in order to expedite testing at GMC,” he stated.
Rane said the GMC has played a vital role in providing not only COVID related but also Non-COVID services to the citizens during this pandemic.
“To continue serving our citizens, we are constantly working towards advancement of facilities at GMC,” he added.
