MARGAO: Additional Collector-I (South) Srinet Kothwale chaired the 29th meeting of the South Goa District Level Coastal Monitoring Committee (SGDLCMC), held in the presence of Member Secretary Brucelee JNS Quadros.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Collectors and SDOs of Canacona and Salcete, the Mamlatdar of Salcete, and officials from the Town and Country Planning Department, Forest Department, PWD, and Directorate of Settlement and Land Records, along with a representative of the fishermen community.
During the session, the committee unanimously decided to forward all 23 cases under consideration to the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA), Panaji, with specific recommendations. In total, 23 cases were disposed of during the meeting.
It was further resolved that all pending cases from the South Goa talukas, which have been referred to the respective Taluka Level Committees, will be inspected on priority. The inspection reports will then be submitted to the District Level Committee and placed before the next SGDLCMC meeting for review.
