COLVALE: Colvale police has arrested 34-yr-old for allegedly abdicating 27-yr-old female and confining her at unknown location.
In this connection Colvale PS Cr. No. 08/2025 u/s 140 (3) of BNS 2023 stands registered and investigation was taken up.
Acting swiftly on the above complaint, the team under the leadership of PI Vijay Rane of Colvale Police Station got into action and collected intelligence through reliable sources and from mobile surveillance victim girl, age 27 yrs was safely rescued from the clutches of accused who had confined her in the room at Malebennur, Davanagere Karnataka.
Accused person namely Mustafa Abdul Kanchangar, age 34 yrs r/o c/o Cliff Sequeira, Cansa board, Thivim Bardez Goa was apprehended and placed under arrest on 10/02/2025 and produced before, 2nd ACJ & JMFC court, Harihar, Davangere Karnataka and brought at Colvale Police Station on transit warrant.
The rescue operation was carried out by PSI Prakash Ghadi, PC 7341 Praveen Patil and LPC 9145 Tejaswi Madkaikar all of Colvale Police Station under the supervision of PI Colvale PS Shri Vijay V. Rane and under the overall supervision of SDPO Mapusa Shri Sandesh Chodankar and SP (North) Shri Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
