PANAJI: Authorities in Goa have carried out as many as 436 enforcement raids across the state to crack down on hoarding, black marketing, and irregularities in the supply of LPG and petroleum products.
The action comes amid heightened vigilance by the State Government and district administration to safeguard consumer interests and ensure fair distribution.
Officials stated that strict action has been taken in all cases where violations were detected during these inspections.
Meanwhile, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reassured the public that the supply of petrol, diesel, and LPG remains stable and adequate to meet current demand in the state.
Civil Supplies Secretary Sanjeev Gadkar said that OMCs are closely monitoring the situation and have streamlined logistics to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability.
Authorities have urged the public not to fall prey to rumours of shortages or indulge in panic buying, emphasizing that supply levels remain normal.
