CANACONA: Denis Detkov, a Russian National residing in a rented guest house at Galgibaga, was
found dead.
According to Canacona police, a woman resident of Galgibaga complained to Canacona police that a guest staying at her guest house is not opening the main door of the room and the door is locked from inside.
Accordingly a police team as part of the enquiry visited the spot and noticed that the main door of the rented room is locked from inside.
Police requisition the Fire and Emergency Services (FES) team and the Fire Brigade staff opened the main door of the room and noticed that a man was lying on the bed inside his bedroom and he was found dead.
During enquiry it was revealed to the police that the deceased name is Denis Detkov, age 47 years, Russian National presently R/at H.No.Ehn/R5/9, Galgibaga, Poinguinim, Canacona Goa, holder of passport no.517306016, issued on 22/03/2022 and valid till 22/03/2027, Visa no.9024A9C40 and is checked in said guest house on 01/11/2024 at around 13.00 hrs and he was staying alone in said room.
Police conducted scene of UD Occurance Panachanama and Inquest Panachanma over the dead body and preserved the dead body at South Goa District Hospital Morgue, Margao for medico legal formalities and informed the Russian consulate to inform his family to conduct medico legal formalities.
Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Ajit Velip of Canacona PS.
