PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that the state government will be granted a concession of 50% in registration/renewal fees for this financial year for Category C and D hotels as most of them are yet to resume operations.
“Government will be granting a concession of 50% in registration/renewal fees for this financial year for Category C and D hotels as a majority of them are yet to resume operations,” said CM Sawant
He further said that the suggestions received from the industry have been duly considered. Accordingly, the composition of the Goa Tourism Board has been modified and will be modified soon.
“I urge the tourism industry to avail the new schemes announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi providing loans to the tourist guides of rupees one lakh and for stakeholders rupees ten lakhs,” he said.
Meanwhile, considering the hardships during a pandemic, the Chief Minister said that the government has given a concession of 50% waiver in the license fees for shacks.
“I have received appreciation letters from the Foreign Embassies in this regard. All such gestures will elevate Goa’s image Goa among the domestic and international travellers,” he added.
