PANAJI: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHE) today declared that 92.66 % of the HSSC students passed in the results declared on Saturday evening, much lower than the 99.40 in the previous year.
Out of the 18,112 students that were for the HSSC, 16,783 passed. As per information, 95.68 per cent cleared the Arts stream, 95.71 per cent passed the Commerce stream, 93.95 passed the Science stream while 79.04 passed the vocational stream.
“The Final result is prepared which includes performance of First Term exam (50% portion), Second Term exam (50% portion) and performance of internal assessment (20%),” said GBSHSE chairman Bhagirath Shetye
As per information, from the 8661 boys, 8033 passed, taking the pass percentage to 90.66 per cent. Of 9251 girls, 8750 passed, taking the total rate to 94.58 per cent.
GBSHE said that Tiswadi schools had the highest 95.92 per cent of students passing while Quepem had the lowest of 86.23 per cent.
The Board will conduct the supplementary examination for those candidates who are placed in the “ Needs Improvement”category or who have withdrawn their application forms.
The tentative date for the Supplementary exam is 24/06/2022.
105 Candidates are placed in the Reserve category due to non-submission of eligibility documents or internal marks, or school assessment grades.
Several candidates who availed of Sports Merit Marks are 349, while the number of candidates who have passed the exam with the help of Sports Merit Marks is 9. The overall Percentage of candidates passing the examination with the help of Sports Merit Marks is 0.053%.
