MARGAO: At the South Goa District Collectorate, 25 tribal members—including children—were given birth certificates by ef Minister Pramod Sawant. The event was a component of the ongoing “Good Governance Week,” which is a set of activities designed to improve service delivery and administrative effectiveness.
A long-standing need is met by providing birth certificates to the Vanarmare tribe. During “Good Governance Week,” significant progress was made. The district administration made sure that 25 people’s documentation was completed and moved the process along for the other community members.
According to South Goa District Collector Egna Cleetus, camps were set up in each of the district’s seven talukas. During these camps, 227 online complaints made via the CM Helpline, PGRS, and CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) were resolved 100% of the time.
928 cases including land conversions, mutations, and certificates such as income and residency were also settled. In order to provide impacted individuals with timely relief, the administration also resolved all 568 outstanding claims under the Goa and Central Calamity Relief Schemes.
