MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party’s Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas has been served a summons by JMFC Vasco for the anti-coal protests in 2020.
“Your attendance is necessary to answer to a charge of u/s 146, 147 and 174 (a) Railway Act 1989. You are hereby required to appear in person before this court on December 17, 2022, at 10 am,” the JMFC C Court notice reads.
Reacting to teh notice Capt Venzy Viegas took to social media to say BJP was rattled by his performance, and hence the notices were issued.
“This summons has suddenly appeared from 2020 coal protest. My performance, my honesty & my courage against useless ministers seems to have rattled BJP. I am always with the people for issues of Goa, & people are always with me against such intimidation tactics. #GoyantKollsoNaka,” he wrote.
