AAP’s vote share has increased in all the constituencies of Goa. Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Mr Arvind Kejriwal congratulated Mr Fernandes. He said that many other AAP candidates have secured much higher vote share than last time. Mr Kejriwal also said that this is just the beginning and he is sure the AAP will live up to the trust and expectations of Goans.
Mr Kejriwal tweeted, “Congratulations to AAP’s Hanzel Fernandes on winning the Benaulim ZP seat in Goa. Many other AAP candidates have secured a much higher vote share than last time. This is just the beginning. I am sure AAP will live up to the trust and expectations of Goans.”
AAP Goa in-charge Ms Atishi tweeted, “Congratulations to Hanzel Fernandes for his victory in the Benaulim ZP seat in Goa! We thank the people of Benaulim for the trust they have reposed in AAP Goa. I am confident that this is the beginning of many successes of AAP in Goa!”
The AAP is working round the clock and reaching out door to door of the citizens of Goa with the development policies of the AAP. AAP’s ground push and connect with the Goan issues has been accepted by Goans and as a voice of Goa. AAP has continued its emphasis on Governance and it has exposed BJP’s inability and inefficiency of Congress. Today the increased vote share in ZP elections is a testimony of it. People of Goa are fed up with the Congress and they need an alternative like AAP which can take on BJP’s corrupt policies head-on and change the picture of Goa.
Mr Hansel Fernandes who hails from Benaulim and is a carpenter by profession and grassroots person which has helped him to win these though he was a novice contesting against heavyweights given the fact that the Congress candidate is a former sarpanch of Benaulim and the NCP candidate was the deputy sarpanch of Benaulim.
AAP Goa Convener Mr Rahul Mhambre pointed out that the vote share of his party has increased in all the constituencies it has contested and said this is a clear sign that Goans have accepted AAP as the true voice of Goans. “Our continued emphasis on Governance or mis-governance by exposing BJP’s inability to run the affairs in Goa and the Congress’ inefficiency in dealing with the matter concerning Goa has resulted in the increase of our vote share in every constituency we contested,” he said.
He also pointed out that in many constituencies AAP candidates polled more votes than the Congress candidate thus establishing the fact that Goans are looking at AAP as an alternative to the ruling BJP.
While asserting that AAP has emerged as the alternative to rule Goa he said Goans are fed up with both the BJP and the Congress and said the ground is set for AAP to bring the type of governance it has given the national capital in Delhi.
