CANACONA: Agonda and Palolem, the two touristic hubs in South Goa to face blackout on Thursday morning and evening time, respectively.
The power shutdown is scheduled by Canacona Electricity department on 11KVA Transformers of Agonda and Palolem, respectively for carrying the works of reconditioning of Power Transformers at 33KVA/11KVA Canacona Sub-Station.
At Agonda 11KVA Feeder will be shutdown from 09.00hrs to 13.00 hrs of Thursday (07-11-2024) and teh areas effected would be Entire Agonda Village and Khola village, besides Devabhaga and Adpem.
Similarly, there will be no power supply between 13.00hrs to 18.00hrs of Thursday (07-11-2024) as 11KVA Palolem Feeder will be shutdown and areas to be effect will be Bhikarwada, Telephone Exchange, Hospital, Devabhaga, Ice-Factory, Palolem Beach, Rickshaw Stand, Bhumipurish, Ourem, Sawantwada, Colomb, Devgipurush, Patnem, Patnem-beach, Quepemwada, Mharangan, Ponsulem, Kindlem Rajbhag-Tarir, Navodaya and Delem areas.
Public is requested to cooperate and bear with the electricity department for any any inconvenience during the shutdown period., state a press note by Assistant Engineer (O&M) Govind Bhat, Electricity department, Canacona.
