PANAJI: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has suspended Wasim Khan from the post of Chairman of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Minority Department with immediate effect, citing acts of indiscipline and anti-party activities.
The decision was announced through an official order issued by Imran Pratapgarhi, who also ordered the dissolution of the entire Goa PCC Minority Department Committee with immediate effect until further orders.
To oversee the department’s functioning during the transition, the AICC has appointed Nazir A. Khan as the Convenor of the Goa PCC Minority Department with immediate effect.
According to the Congress, the move is aimed at maintaining organisational discipline and strengthening the party structure in Goa. The newly appointed convenor will supervise the functioning of the Minority Department and facilitate the reconstitution of the state committee in line with AICC directives.
The disciplinary action marks a significant organisational reshuffle within the Goa Congress as the party seeks to streamline its internal structure and reinforce party discipline.
