GPCC Vice President Sankalp Amonkar on Wednesday said that he had written to Urban Development Minister Milind Naik with a copy to CM Dr Pramod Sawant demanding that all elections expenses incurred by aspirant candidates who are now uncertain due to new reservations be reimbursed by Milind Naik.
Amonkar said that Milind Naik was solely responsible for the elections fiasco and that it was only because of Naik that the reservations was not done properly forcing petitioners to approach high court for justice and despite the HC giving verdict in favour of petitioners, the government and DMA led by Milind Naik approached Supreme Court.
Amonkar said that despite the Supreme Court giving interim stay, the government started election process and accepted nomination of candidates and granted symbols after which all the candidates began printing of cards, banners, poster and also canvassing using vehicle and sound system.
Amonkar said that now with new reservations the fate of aspirants was uncertain and that the aspirants had already faced losses all because of Milind Naik and demanded that Milind Naik reimburse the expenditure incurred by aspirant candidates.
Amonkar said that he had written for the reimbursement of expenses of the candidates only from Mormugao Constituency and could not speak about several others who had also formed panel of candidates in other parts of Vasco and Goa.
Amonkar demanded that the expenditure incurred by aspirants in Mormugao constituency be reimbursed immediately by Milind Naik
