PANAJI: BJP North Goa Candidate Shripad Naik who won the North Goa Lok Sabha seat with a 1 lakh plus margin said that anti-incumbency could have been a factor for the drop in seats across India
“We all knew that BJP would win North Goa Lok Sabha seat; BJP will also win at the centre, anti-incumbency could have been a factor for the drop in seats,” said Shripad Naik.
He further said that he was thankful to the people of North Goa for the one lakh plus victory.
He said that after coming to power in 2014, PM Modi decided to make people self-sufficient and worked towards achieving the goal. “Results of development are visible,” Naik said.
Naik said that due to the dedication of PM Modi, the country became the fifth-largest economy in the world. Naik thanked people for electing him for the last five terms.
Shripad Yesso Naik also emerged victorious in the 2014 election for the North Goa seat, underscoring his strong foothold in the region.
