PANAJI: Mayem MLA Premendra Shet raised concerns in the Goa Legislative Assembly over the online-only application process for the Atal Asara Scheme, stating that several people are unable to submit applications due to difficulties with the digital process.
Shet also alleged that some field surveyors are not carrying out their duties properly, potentially causing further difficulties for applicants seeking assistance under the scheme.
Responding to the concerns, Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai assured the House that an offline application facility would also be introduced to make the scheme more accessible to beneficiaries.
The minister further said that action would be taken against field surveyors found negligent in performing their duties.
