New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday urged Indians to embrace diversity, reject violent uprisings, and strengthen self-reliance. Speaking at the RSS’s Vijaya Dashami rally, which marked the organisation’s 100th anniversary, Bhagwat stressed that differences should be expressed within the law and that an “us versus them” mindset is unacceptable. Speaking at the 34th meeting of the 60th UNHRC session, Indian diplomat Mohammed Hussain said Pakistan should focus on its domestic crises instead of spreading propaganda. “India finds it deeply ironic that a country like Pakistan seeks to lecture others on human rights. Instead of spreading propaganda, Pakistan should confront the persecution of minorities on their own soil,”…

Gill opted for a combination of three spinners and two frontline pacers, with Nitish Kumar Reddy getting the nod as the pace-bowling all-rounder despite his indifferent form. The decision meant no place for Padikkal—drafted in recently as Karun Nair’s replacement—or for pacer Prasidh Krishna, who had impressed during the England tour. With Rishabh Pant unavailable, the wicketkeeping duties were handed to youngster Dhruv Jurel. “We…
