Team Goemkarponn CUNCOLIM: The Directorate of Mines and Geology has filed a complaint over illegal extraction and transportation of laterite stones from government land in Quepem, resulting in an estimated loss of ₹1 crore to the State exchequer. As per the complaint lodged by Geologist Jeetendra Veluskar, the incident occurred prior to March 27, 2025, at Paryemol, Khaddem in Quepem.
