New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is responding well to treatment and remains under medical observation at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, according to hospital authorities on Thursday. The 79 year old leader was admitted to the hospital late on the night of March 24 after developing a fever. Doctors later diagnosed her with a systemic infection and began treatment with antibiotics. New Delhi: Indian Railways has imposed a penalty of ₹10 lakh on Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation after a passenger complained about the quality of food served on board the Patna–Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express. The complaint, lodged on March 15, prompted an investigation by railway authorities. Following the inquiry, officials decided to take disciplinary action against the catering operator responsible for the service. New Delhi: The central government has decided to continue its inflation control framework by maintaining the retail inflation target at 4 percent for another five year period ending March 31, 2031. The decision extends the existing monetary policy structure that guides inflation management in the country. According to a gazette notification issued by the Department of Economic Affairs on March 25, the inflation target will remain at 4 percent with an upper tolerance limit of 6 percent and a lower limit of 2 percent.
