PORVORIM: The Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court has directed fresh elections to the managing committee of the Shree Dev Bodgeshwar Temple within three months, following a petition challenging the conduct of the previous election.
The court has also directed the appointment of an administrator to oversee the administration of the Devsthan and manage the temple’s affairs until the election process is completed.
Additionally, the High Court has ordered the removal of 254 names from the voters’ list as part of the directions concerning the fresh election.
The directions came following a petition filed by former committee president Anand Bhaidkar, who had challenged the conduct of the earlier managing committee election.
