Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: A weak spell of rainfall through July has significantly impacted Goa’s monsoon performance, leaving the state with a 34 per cent seasonal rainfall deficit and placing it among the country’s more rain-deficient regions this southwest monsoon. The prolonged dry spell has been reflected across much of the state, with five of Goa’s 14 rain-gauge stations recording cumulative rainfall below 1,000 mm so far this season. New Delhi: India on Friday said it is closely monitoring developments surrounding a proposed United States bill that could allow President Donald Trump to impose tariffs of up to 100 percent on countries purchasing large volumes of Russian oil and gas. The proposed legislation, which was recently cleared by the US Senate with an 86 to 12 vote, will now move to the House of Representatives for further consideration. New Delhi: The death toll in the terrorist attack on migrant workers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district has risen to two after an injured labourer succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
