State-owned oil companies are using Aadhaar-based eKYC authentication to verify LPG customers and eliminate fake accounts, according to Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. This measure aims to identify and remove fraudulent customers who book cooking gas under residential names but use it for commercial purposes.
