Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has intensified enforcement across South Goa to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards and protect public health. During inspections in Canacona, two sweet manufacturing units were found with serious hygiene and structural deficiencies, including damaged flooring, a collapsed false ceiling, stagnant water and inadequate storage facilities. Both establishments were directed to stop operations until they submit the required compliance and the deficiencies are verified by the authorities. New Delhi: Security forces killed a terrorist during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday, following a joint anti terror operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Srinagar Sector CRPF. New Delhi: A new study has raised concerns over the growing threat of glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) in Arunachal Pradesh, identifying 38 high altitude lakes at medium to high risk of such events. Researchers assessed 127 lakes across the state and classified 89 as low risk, 36 as medium risk and two as high risk. New Delhi: Farmers in parts of Leh are set to benefit from improved irrigation after Ladakh constructed its first rock check dam across the Indus River at Upshi, marking a significant step towards making greater use of available water resources in the Union Territory. The structure has been built by placing naturally available boulders across the river without using cement.
