The accident occurred when the deceased girl identified as Sanjana Sawant was going to drop her sister to Higher Secondary School at Pillar. When she reached the old bridge at Siridao, her two-wheeler dashed against a bike which came from the opposite side and she fell on the road. While Sanjana died on the spot her sister who was riding pillion and the bike rider Omkar Aroskar have been injured.
