Goemkarponn desk PANAJI: Goa boys defeated Tamilnadu in the final to win the 6th Mini U/14 National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held at Sholinghur, Tamil Nadu, from 17th to 19th February 2023. Put on to the bat, Tamilnadu scored 44 runs in 6 overs; in reply scored the required runs in 5.2 overs. Earlier, Goa had defeated Maharashtra in the quarterfinals and Puducherry in the semi-finals. The victorious teams were awarded trophies, medals & gifts during the closing ceremony held today at Unity School ground, Sholinghur, TN. Maharashtra was the winner in the girl’s section.

During the carnival float movements, some of the residents were seen displaying placards highlighting the problems faced by people due to intelligent city works and other environmental issues.
