PANAJI: St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar today protested at the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department for their failure to take action on the complaints filed by the latter.
Speaking to the media, Borkar said that he has come to protest the failure of TCP for not providing any reply to certain complaints forwarded by him.
“Office for not providing documents regarding hill cutting and illegal construction projects in the St Andre constituency. I will not get up until TCP gives the documents,” said Borkar.
He further said that the TCP department is careless towards the common man and the same has been done with him.
“I had forwarded many complaints and letters to the department but it’s almost one and half years but no reply has yet come,” he added.
The MLA said that no site inspections have been done either and he had raised the issue on the approvals.
“The TCP department is granting approvals without cross-checking facts and then when complaints are made, the TCP washes its hands off by stating that approvals have been granted,” the MLA said.
