FATORDA: Goa Forward Party president and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has criticised the BJP government over the alleged delay in disbursing the promised ₹3,000 financial assistance, claiming that more than 2 lakh applicants are still waiting for the amount.
According to Sardesai, out of 3,06,396 applicants, only around 1 lakh have received the payment, leaving a large number of beneficiaries awaiting the promised assistance.
Slamming the government over the delay, Sardesai said women do not need publicity stunts or grand announcements but timely delivery of the financial assistance promised to them.
“Our sisters don’t need publicity stunts and grand announcements. They need the money they were promised!” Sardesai said.
Accusing the BJP government of failing to honour its commitment, the Goa Forward Party president described the delay as a betrayal of public trust.
“This is not governance; it is a betrayal of trust,” Sardesai said.
