Locals said since the past eight days, excavation has been done at the river bank toward the OPA Plant site. Goemkarponn desk PONDA: In a fatal accident reported at Nestle, Usgao area, a pedestrian Anagha Anand Desai (44 years) r/o Usgao, n/o Kolhapur, Maharashtra, died after she was hit by an unknown vehicle while walking on the road. She later succumbed to injuries. Ponda Police are investigating the matter and are also on the lookout for the vehicle. This is the second such case reported at Ponda.
