Quepem police are investigating the matter and have pressed the special dog squad; CCTV camera footage is being examined. Goemkarponn desk PONDA: One jackfruit tree fell on Premila Naik’s house at Khadpaband, Ponda; however, luckily woman in the house escaped unhurt. According to homeowner Premila, the tree crashed on the house yesterday ( 20 May) night at around 7.30 pm when she was lighting a lamp before God in Devgar’s room. Following the crashing sound, she rushed out of the house. She said the pooja room was damaged; however, god saved her life. Ponda fire personnel cleared the tree on the house.
