Mormugao: Hundreds of Goans from across the State on Monday protested against the land acquisition hearing for the double tracking of the railway line from Castle Rock to Vasco. Following the protests the Dy Collector, Mormugao, had to call off the hearings of the day. Panaji:  In a major boost to Goan sports, the Government of India has approved setting up of Khelo India Centre of Excellence at SAG Sports Complex at Campal Panaji. Goa is amongst the nine State where the Centre of Excellence has been approved. He other States are Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Puducherry and Tripura. A reliable information was obtained regarding illegal drug activities being carried out from a residence at Keri, Pernem Goa.
