Goemkarponn desk Canacona: Fire tenders averted amajor tragedy at Palolem, Canacona after a store room of tourist cottage caught fire. Sources revealed that store room of Dream Catcher Tourist Cottage caught fire around 8 pm. The fire tenders were Canacona were pressed into service but were insufficient and hence the fire tenders from Margao were also requisitioned. The fireman succesfully removed 10 gas cylinders from the store room or else it would have been a major tragedy, eyewitnesses said. Sources said total losses coild run into loss. there were no casualties reported.
