Chicalim Youth Farmers club ( CYFC ) , a group of over 100 youth from different parts of Goa assembled at Chicalim Panchayat adressed media opposing the three linear projects of double tracking, expansion of national highway and transmission of power lines through Western Ghats . PANJIM: Classes for students of Std 10 and 12 begin today across the state in accordance with all the state government SoP’s. School managements say that classes will start between 8.30am and 9.30 am and end between 12.30pm and 1.00pm, with 12 students in each class. Schools have said that they will be adhering to COVID-19 protocol, however, they have cautioned teachers, parents and students, about possible infection despite the precautionary measures. Pernem Police conducted a raid at Harambol on 20/11/2020 and arrested 02 staff for possession of drugs. TCP board approved the draft ODP for Mormugao in its 172nd board meeting held today. The draft will be notified and kept open for public suggestion for 60 days, informed Dy CM and TCP Minister Babu Kavlekar. TCP also granted approval to include some parts of Old Goa into Greater Panaji PDA(GPPDA) as per the request of the Old Goa Panchayat. “Public will be given 60 days time to raise objects and give suggestions in this regards too,” informed Kavlekar. PANJIM: Two persons died of Covid in the last 24-hours in Goa. A 60-year-old man from Usgao died at GMC today while a 72-year-old man from Curtorim who was brought dead at Hospicio Hospital, Margao tested positive for Covid in post mortem report. Covid death toll of Goa now stands at 672.
