Panaji Over 90 cases of jellyfish stings were reported along the coast between yesterday and today. Drishti lifesavers posted along the beach were inundated with first aid cases related to jellyfish stings. Over the past two days, the Baga – Calangute beach belt witnessed over 55 cases while the Candolim to Sinquerim beach stretch saw 10 cases. South Goa reported over 25 cases of jellyfish related accidents requiring immediate first aid. Panjim The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today reviewed all the projects undertaken under the Smart City development mission. Sawant chaired Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) board meeting, which was also attended by MLA Atanasio Monserrate. Sawant said that he took review of all the projects that are completed and those under progress. He said that IPSCDL is asked to focus on priority projects as listed by the MLA. Monserrate informed that projects like St Inez creek, Ribander health center, underground cabling, beautification at Miramar and Dona Paula, are to be taken on priority.
For the second time after a gap of 7 days, the State reported Zero COVID related death in last 24-hours. It was on June 22 that the first patient had succumbed to the COVID infection in Goa. Since January 29, total 46,480 cases have been reported in the State, of which 670 people have succumbed to the deadly infection.
