Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: In a major crackdown on the illegal sale of e-cigarettes, the Margao Town Police, under the supervision of Police Inspector Suraj Samant, SDPO Margao Siddhant Shirodkar, and SP South Tikam Singh Verma, carried out two separate raids in Margao city on Friday. In the first raid, police seized e-cigarettes valued at ₹40,000 and arrested one accused. Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: A 73-year-old woman from Navelim, South Goa, passed away at GMC Bambolim on Friday morning following a fall at her residence. Police said the deceased, Jaipali Chauhan, originally from Uttar Pradesh and residing at Mandopa, Navelim, sustained injuries after slipping in her bathroom. She was admitted to GMC Bambolim for treatment but succumbed while undergoing care. An inquest panchanama was conducted, and the body was sent for post-mortem.
