Panaji: “It was already out in the open that 1000 crores plus spent on various works to convert Panjim into a “Smart City” has actually transformed the Capital City into “Dirt City”. Acceptance by Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate on substandard works of Panjim Smart City is an “Exist Alarm” for Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane,” stated Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
Reacting to the statement of Babush Monserrate saying all the works of Panjim Smart City are substandard, and 8 crores paid to the Consultant have gone down the drain, Congress Media Cell Chairman said, “This is an endorsement of the Congress Slogan “Mission Total Commission” of the BJP Government”.
“I want to remind the people of Goa of the expose done by Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate a year & half back of 70 crores PWD Junior Engineers Recruitment Scam which eventually resulted in Scrapping of the Posts and sending home then PWD Minister Deepak Pawaskar. I am sure his latest revelation will force Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane to pack his bags,” stated Amarnath Panjikar.
He said the Smart City Works carried out by Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) have turned out to be Unimaginable.
“Despite the media uproar and Protests staged by the Congress Party and Residents of Panjim, Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane has maintained complete silence. He is part of “Mission Total Commission” and hence has no guts to come and inspect the works and take action against the contractors,” charged Amarnath Panjikar.
Revenue Minister and Panjim MLA Atanasio Monserrate cannot play a Victim Card now.
“He too, along with his son and Mayor of Panjim Rohit Monserrate, is responsible for all the mess in Panjim. As everyone has realised that Panjim will drown in the upcoming Monsoon, the Rats are now jumping out,” said Amarnath Panjikar.
The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, has realised that he has failed as an Administrator and must be now trying to switch to Astrology. His prediction stating that Panjim will not drown will not only drown him, but the entire BJP Government predicted Amarnath Panjikar.
