VAGATOR: Anjuna Police have registered an offence against a 29-year-old Bangladeshi national for allegedly staying illegally in Goa without valid travel documents.
According to police, the case was registered on September 9 following a complaint by PSI Saish Shetgaonkar of Anjuna Police Station.
The accused has been identified as Fatema Khatun, 29, daughter of Belal Sarder, who was residing at Casa De Royal Boutique Resort, Vagator. Police said she is a native of Muslim Nagar, Joypurhat, Bangladesh.
Khatun was allegedly found at the resort around 12.15 pm on September 9 and was found to be staying in India without a valid visa or other required travel documents.
Police said her alleged stay without valid documentation amounted to a violation of Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Swapnil Naik of Anjuna Police Station.
