CANDOLIM: A case has been registered by police following an alleged assault on a bank employee inside a nationalised bank branch in Candolim.
According to police information, the offence was registered on April 20 at 7:30 pm based on a complaint filed by Ranveer Singh (38), a resident of Caranzalem. The complaint states that the incident took place earlier in the day at around 12:30 pm at the Canara Bank branch in Candolim, Bardez.
The accused, identified as Amira Anand Menkurkar along with four unidentified male accomplices, allegedly entered the bank premises and, acting with common intention, verbally abused and physically assaulted a staff member, Mayank Yadav. The attackers are reported to have used objects during the assault, resulting in injuries to the victim.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the remaining accused involved in the attack.
