MAPUSA: A targeted two-day drive to address pending land mutation cases has resulted in significant progress across North Goa, with Bardez taluka recording the highest number of disposals.
During the initiative, Bardez alone accounted for 166 cases being cleared, topping the list among all talukas. The camps were organised to fast-track long-pending applications and ease delays in updating land records.
Other talukas also reported steady outcomes. Pernem processed several applications, clearing a notable portion during the drive, while Sattari too managed to resolve multiple cases through the on-the-spot initiative.
The camps witnessed encouraging public participation, as residents turned up in large numbers to resolve their land-related issues. Officials were present to guide applicants, verify documents, and ensure quicker processing.
The exercise is part of the administration’s broader effort to reduce backlog, simplify procedures, and make land record services more accessible and efficient for the public.
