Panaji: Following demands from various quarters to intervene in beef shortage issue in the State, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that the beef traders are free to bring live stock into the state and use Goa Meat Complex for slaughtering.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that the registered beef agents will be allowed to transport live stock.
“The Goa Meat Complex is ready to start. Those who have permission to get live animal and slaughter hygienically they can use the Complex,” he said.
Sawant said that the government will support the traders.
On Saturday, the Church also asked the CM to intervene in the beef shortage in the State after Karnataka imposed slaughter ban in the State.
