MARGAO: With the Rise of Covid confirmed Patients, it was the need of the hour that the talented Goans come forward to help the Government and our fellow Goans to continue to fight against COVID.
Hence the parish of St. John the Baptist Church Hall, along with Goa Dimensions, Business Community along with Toastmasters in Margao joined hands to launched The Benaulim Quarantine Center at the St. John the baptish Hall.
Fr. Luico Dias, Parish priest in his announcement today, mentioned that the Center is open to everyone who is asymptomatic or have mild symptoms, and needs a place to heal and recover, are welcome in our self-management venue with a doctors letter permitting the same. The Venue has approximately 30 beds.
President of Goa Dimensions, Custodio Fernandes also mentioned that the facility is to help those that are unavailable to self isolate themselves at home and to keep their families safe and to stop the spread of the infection across society.
Ar. Royla Fernandes, after taking the necessary permissions and approvals for the center. The Planning was carried out by Civil Engineers, Planners, Negotiators, Donors, Medical Professionals and with the guidance of Doctors from the nearest PHC and South Goa District Hospital the Center is finally being launched on 14th May 2021. Members of the Toastmasters Fraternity were involved to help with their efficient communication and organizational skills to plan the venue along with our engineers and medical professionals.
The Local parishioners and many business hotels contributed in kind and donated beds and other much needed elements to build the center. The Venue is designed for 2 phases, Phase 1 is a self-managed Quarantined center and the 2nd Phases to provide basic medical support with the collaboration of the nearest PHC and District Hospital.
The Benaulim Quarantine Center has joined the fight against covid19 and to save more Lives and help the Dept of Health in their war against this pandemic.
