CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have arrested a Bihar native for illegally possessing 2.610 kg ganja worth Rs 2.60 lakhs.
The accused has been identified as Rampriya Kumar, age 22 years r/o Muslim wado Bicholim Goa n/o Bakhari Supayan, Bakhri Subain Vaishali Bihar.
The accused was found in possession of 2.610 kg of greenish colour leafy substance suspected to be Ganja worth Rs. 2,60,000/- approximately.
Accused person Rampriya Kumar Chaudhary is placed under arrest in Crime No. 24/2023 u/s 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act 1985 and remanded to Police Custody.
The police Team consisting of PSI Kiran Naik, HC-4936 Vidhyanand Amonkar, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad, PC-7117 Bhagwan Palyekar, PC-7119 Ganpat Tiloji, PC-7587 Ganesh Parsekar and PC-7904 Pranay Gawas, did an excellent job in apprehending the above-accused persons and recovering narcotic substance worth Rs. 2,60,000/- approximately.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Dattaguru K Sawant, Guidance of SDPO Porvorim and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
