VASCO: Captain Viriato Fernandes on Tuesday afternoon hit out at the BJP Government and Forest Minister Vishwajeet Rane on the statement to challenge the High Court decision on the tiger Reserve in Goa.
“The Forest Minister Vishwajeet Rane who once clicked wildlife photos and tweeted it, is now planning to challenge the historic decision of a tiger reserve in the Supreme Court despite the judgement taking care of locals who will be rehabilitated in a year.
The BJP Government and the CM Dr Pramod Sawant who claimed the Mhadei River to be their mother were never serious to stop the diversion of this lifeline river and don’t want the Tiger Reserve.
“Tiger is a national animal that guards the forest and needs to be protected through a tiger reserve. This tiger reserve will also stop Karnataka’s brazen attempts from diverting the Mhadei River. Challenging the high court decision on tiger reserve has exposed the BJP Government totally” said Fernandes
