Panaji – It is shocking that BJP Medical Cell is trying to seek publicity by circulating posters with photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP functionaries on social media when people are dying due to apathy of government. The self publicity obsessed BJP Medical Cell head Dr. Shekhar Salkar must stop propoganda and face ground reality and try to provide realistic medical aid to the needy stated Congress President Girish Chodankar.
The need of the hour is for people to get beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccines. Watching photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other irresponsible BJP functionariess is least priority of the Goans in current situation. It is unfortunate that a medical professional like Dr. Shekhar Salkar is busy in propoganda conveniently ignoring his duty and responsibility of the noble profession.
We want Dr. Shekhar Salkar to inform the people of Goa, how a private hospital could manage to get Covid Vaccines and start its vaccination drive when BJP Government at the Centre as well as the State have failed to keep up with their commitment of vaccinating youths between 18 to 45 years. As head of BJP medical cell it is his responsibility to answer the Goans stated Girish Chodankar.
The politically motivated Dr. Shekhar Salkar used every opportunity last year to justify the insensitive and irresponsible acts of Dr. Pramod Sawant government with regards to Community Survey, Taking over Private Hospital beds etc. All these acts eventually did not yield any positive results and Goa is now into the death trap of Covid.
We demand that Dr. Shekhar Salkar must come clear on how many doctors from BJP Medical Cell have volunteered and are performing duty to cure Covid patients. We want BJP medical cell to inform people on availability of beds, oxygen, medicines and actual stock of vaccines available with the government as on date demanded Girish Chodankar.
We also demand that BJP Medical Cell must walk the talk by subsidising the vaccines given at Private Hospitals. The party has made fortunes by looting State Coffers, atleast now try to do some noble work Girish Chodankar said.
